libel-defamation by written or printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures.
slander-defamation; calumny
public figure-A famous person whose life and behavior are the focus of intense public interest and scrutiny.
private citizen-a citizen who does not hold any official or public position.
Hazelwood case-the Hazelwood case was about a school district telling the stories of teen pregnancy and kids that have divorced parents. They were basically backing up the First Amendment.
